These
are generally national organisations, and the RSA’s principle source
of funding. Each partner represents a category relevant to a village shop,
and works closely with the RSA to provide information/advice on, and where
appropriate to help rural retailers grow, that category. This is done
in a variety of ways – through the website, “Village Retailer”,
training courses, exhibitions and specific projects. In some circumstances,
partners are also invited by the RSA to be involved in its lobbying activities,
particularly where their expertise on a subject area can assist the organisation.
